Holter Monitor
-
Bring your medication list with you.
-
The monitor is smaller than the size of an iPhone. It is connected to 5 cables that are attached to stickers and are placed on the chest. They monitor your heart rate for a specific period of time. It is best to wear a top with a high neck line to conceal the electrodes from plain sight. Note that if the monitor is to be worn for a 48 to 72 hour period, one cannot take a shower or remove the device from the skin. If the device is to be worn longer, we provide replacement stickers and explain to you how to reposition the electrodes on your chest.
